A Columbus, Ohio Engagement Story

Kelsey and Michael have been together for a few years now and began to discuss getting married. When they approached us about photography and videography for their wedding day they were not actually engaged yet, but were just waiting for the sweetest, most perfect moment.

It turns out that Michael had planned numerous occasions to ask her previously but one thing or another happened and pushed the engagement back a little more. He was so patiently waiting for the perfect time to come and it finally did! Kelsey’s family was in town last weekend to go wedding dress shopping with her and his opportunity finally arose. He reached out to me to make sure I could document it through photography and I am so glad he did! This was the first time I was invited to capture an engagement as it happened. To me, there aren’t many things more powerful than the moment a couple becomes engaged, and the moment they vow their lives to each other. I get goosebumps just thinking about it!

He had a special dog tag made that said “woof you marry me?” for their fur baby Nala to wear during the moment. He got down on one knee and asked her to be his bride and she joyfully accepted. It was an engagement story right out of a storybook! We are so excited to be part of their continuing love story. Stay tuned for their upcoming scheduled engagement session!
