Pandemic Wedding in Gahanna, Ohio
Home wedding photography and videography in Gahanna, Ohio.
We’ve been doing a series on our Covid weddings from 2020 and here’s Christine & Anton’s day! It’s so fun for us to look back on past weddings and see how they looked versus what weddings look like now– especially when it comes to our post-pandemic world.
Christine & Anton fell in love as traveling nurses. They compliment each other through their humor, joy, and happy-go-lucky personalities. Their wedding became a house party at the home of a family friend and included all of their favorite people. One important person was missing however who deserves to be honored! Christine’s mother passed away the winter before their wedding day and they honored her beautifully in memory.
It was sweet to watch Anton stumble through the vows, as English is not his first language and he was just so giddy with joy. The room was quiet and grieved together for a moment in honor of Christine’s mother. When their grood friend and officiant begun her pronouncement with “by the power vested in me by the great state of Ohio”, Anton didn’t miss a beat and made sure to tack on “the two-time emmy-nominated” to the her title and authority.
We opted to do a first look and portraits and videography for Christine & Anton’s wedding day at Gahanna’s Creekside Park. We were blessed to have a wintery, snowy day for their Covid wedding.
After that we went to the house party and celebrated with a ceremony and drinks after. There was a warm fire in the living room, pretty twinkling lights above the enclosed patio, and a wide range of heartwarming food from buffalo to BBQ to pasta and salad. It was such a special day and we were honored to capture their wedding photography and videography in Gahanna, Ohio.
